S H E + Lindsay Rae Art Collection

Style Her Empowered (S H E) is a non-profit organization that creates sustainable education and employment opportunities for girls and women around the world. S H E developed a self-sustainable model, employing local seamstresses in Togo, Africa at fair wage to design girl’s school uniforms which grow with the child for up to 6 years. In addition to the school uniforms, S H E provides educational scholarships for girls.

Together, we worked to design a giveback backpack. These backpacks are handmade by S H E’s team of seamstresses in Togo, with local materials. They were then shipped to the United States, where three of my original designs were printed on them. 50% of the profit from these backpacks goes directly back to S H E to fund girls education initiatives.
